9/11
Did you work in New York City after September 11, 2001? You may be entitled to compensation
If you worked in Lower Manhattan — between Canal Street and South Ferry — at any time from September 11, 2001, through May 30, 2002, and you now have health problems, you may qualify for compensation from the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (VCF).
You do not need to live in the United States. You do not need U.S. citizenship. Claims can be filed from abroad.
Who qualifies?
- Construction workers and cleanup crews at Ground Zero
- Office, restaurant, and retail workers in the exposure zone
- Union members (Uni Local 85, 78, and others)
- Volunteers and residents of Lower Manhattan
- People who have since returned to their home countries
What conditions?
Lung disease, asthma, cancer, heart disease, GERD, PTSD, and dozens of other conditions linked to toxic dust exposure after the collapse of the World Trade Center.
Deadline
The VCF is open until October 1, 2090. But the sooner you file, the sooner you receive compensation.
What we do
The Law Office of Andrew Kaminski, P.C. in Brooklyn has been representing injured workers for 25 years. Together with Cannata, Hendele & Cannata, LLP, we secured $53 million in compensation for 82 WTC cleanup workers — including 47 Polish workers.
Consultation is free. We speak Polish, English, and Spanish. The entire process can be handled remotely — no need to travel to the U.S.
